Chiropractic care is an essential part of whole body wellness.
Dr. Tiffany Wall of New Beginnings Chiropractic specializes in prenatal and pediatric care. That's right, families of Northern Colorado, she is just who you're looking for!
Pregnancy requires a lot from a woman's body, and it only makes sense to provide the support necessary to have a healthy pregnancy. In this provider spotlight, I am happy to introduce you to Tiffany Wall, Doctor of Chiropractic, and owner of New Beginnings Chiropractic, LLC.
Chiropractic care for pregnant women is safe for mother and the developing baby. The American Pregnancy Association encourages mothers-to- be to find a chiropractor who specializes in prenatal care. During pregnancy, your center of gravity shifts forward which increases the lumbar spine curvature. Although this is natural, it increases the stress and compression on your lumbar discs. The hormone relaxin causes your ligaments to loosen especially in your pelvis which makes it very easy for your pelvis to shift and become unbalanced. Getting adjusted throughout your pregnancy helps keep your body aligned and balanced.
Dr. Tiffany graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College as a Doctor Of Chiropractic. She is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and a member of the Colorado Chiropractic Association, Colorado Women's Chiropractic Association, and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). She achieved her Webster Technique Certification and pediatric specialty training through ICPA.
We asked Dr. Tiffany to tell us a bit about herself and her chiropractic practice in Northern Colorado. Here's what she had to say!
How did you get into your profession?
I had low back pain at 13 years old from playing sports. Physical therapy was not helping and a coach asked me if I would be willing to try chiropractic. Life changing words!! I had an immediate change after my first adjustment. I couldn’t understand why no one had suggested this earlier. Why was this not common knowledge? I was also very intrigued so I asked a lot of questions to my chiropractor, and started looking at schools because I just knew I needed to make a difference in people’s lives the way my chiropractor had changed mine.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
Working with pregnant women and little ones is the most rewarding and fun experience. I love serving all ages, but pregnant women, who are more prone to have trips, falls, and pain because of pregnancy, respond so quickly and benefit on so many levels.
Having less pain during your pregnancy is important, but I also get to help the momma-to-be have a healthier pregnancy, a better functioning immune system, have shorter and more comfortable labor, with a reduced risk of interventions being needed during delivery.
Kids are both a challenge to work with and an unbelievable joy. When it comes to working with newborns,
I get to help a tiny new human experience life with a nervous system working at 100%
and I also get to watch the parents, who are often exhausted and overwhelmed, see their baby transform from having colic, ear infections, constipation, sleep issues, breastfeeding issues, etc to being able to sleep for longer periods, breastfeed like a champ, and be the healthy and happy baby they love!
Tell us about yourself!
I grew up on a farm in western Nebraska so my heart will always be on my parent’s farm and of course I am a born and raised Husker fan. I love sports, music of all kinds, outdoor adventures, animals, reading, hanging out with friends, eating great food. I received my B.S. in Exercise Science from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska. I received my Doctorate of Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Overland Park, KS. I fell in love with pediatric and prenatal chiropractic after attending a seminar in my first year of chiropractic school, so I did my prenatal and pediatric specialty training during school on the weekends. I married my high school sweetheart, Jay, in 2013, while in school. After graduation, we moved to Windsor, Colorado to be closer to our families in Nebraska. We were looking for the small town community feel that we loved growing up in and Windsor has been great. We are expecting our first child in January!
